Seeing something you founded grow and have its own heartbeat is fulfilling and rewarding. We hang our LGBTQ flag at every practice, so that everyone around us, some of whom are kids, will know that they have a place.
What motivates Mattew?
In the 90’s, as a closeted kid, I felt I didn’t have a place on a sports team. I came to realize that the duality of being gay and playing sports were not opposing forces; but that they could coexist.

If you don’t find a place where you feel comfortable, create one.
